Dan Becker
Currently, I own a computer consulting business serving clients in Grant and Baker counties. I work with all computer operating systems.
My first introduction to computers came in the late 70s, creating wildland fire behavior models using terminals, later moving on to use IBM, Apple and Amiga Commodore computers.
I retired from the USFS in 2004 but continued to work in fire behavior forecasting until 2015, working in 26 states. I have also worked as a computer specialist on fires which required setting up Internet access and computer networks in very remote locations.
My wife, Donna, also works in technology at the Grant County Education Service District. We have two children who were born and raised in Grant County. Donna and I moved here in 1975.
